Simply adapting the end of a regular USB cable is not a solution.
Well sorray....
Ok, I need a "link" cable no? Very well then. Well, I've been poking around MicroCenter and I found one for 20$. It's a link cable alright (USB) but so unfortunate the thing claims that it works only with XP and Vista. Is that only because of the drivers? I mean, essentially there is some software that makes the cable work that's installed at both points of connection (PC---PC). Is the sharkstuff this type of software?
I'm not sure I'm getting my point across right here, but I hope it's clear

Could someone help me because I've only the Gameshark to use for the exploit. =[
I have posted a tutorial at SKSApps on how to install FMCB with just a gameshark and no cable.

Don't even need to do that. I've found that you can use the exploit file *I think it's .p2m* and rename it to PS2, and pop it on a USB drive
When in the Gameshark, copy it over from the USB drive.. you should see it rename itself. The exploit is installed with no swapping.. no knife

The knife trick tutorial I posted works for versions of the gameshark that doesn't have USB drive support.
