i have the exact same problem i got the other 2 pieces in fine but my part B doesn't match any pic of any other Part B i have seen, does anyone have any detailed pictures or videos on how to put it in when i put it in the best way i can i get a grinding sound from my PS2 Slimline Like stated above.
EDIT forgot to mention the part i am talking about goes into the disc break area with the little tab that sildes back and forth with the little white sticker on it. sorry new to modding.

I'm having a different problem...my part A would not stick, so I took some drastic measures with some glue. This ruined the lid sensor by the power switch, and it thinks the lid is permanently open. I'm currently looking for a solution.
bump
You might not have installed it correctly, when the disk is spinning is it in contact with anything, if yes with what?
You should be able to remove tool b by using a tweezer or somethin.
yes the disc is grinding against the flat part of my Tool B i sent a bunch of emails to the admin of the site i bought it from and he sent me a new set Tool B seems to be the same one i had before which doesn't match of the the walkthrough pics i have seen of it.
post a picture of tool B installed on ur pstwo and so we'll have a clear understanding of the problem.
the disc brake tool isnt really needed exept if you want to play with the lid open. i dont use it because it falles out if you move you console
the causes of the grinding noise is the laser arm (it makes the laser move up and down)...maybe is worn out... it needs to be re-grease or replace for another 1.
