I've searched the forums, and it doesn't come up with any results for my search.
I have SNES Station, and have burnt some roms onto a CD-R for use. I press select and it tells me to insert the CD. So I push in my knife (Coz my slide-cards are flimsy and don't work) and push the pin to the right. I pull out the drive and put in my CD-R. Then I shut the drive and push the pin back. It goes in OK, but it says there are no roms on the CD. When I go to eject the CD, the drive slides IN and I have to press the button AGAIN to eject the drive. Am I doing anything wrong, or is it a fault with SNES Station?
This post was WAY too long for what I wanted to ask. Sorry :)
Ok, I dont know what u did exactly so heres a few guesses:
- it does sound like the tray isnt closed right after the swap (or it wouldnt close by it self) ... make sure u push the white pin all the way to the left to close the lid manually
- I donno snes-station (I guess its homebrew), but shouldnt the roms and snes-station be on the same cd-r? Try rebuilding using cdgensps2 with everything on one cd-r if possible
- Make the cd-r small, ps2 see cd-r larger than 632mb and id make it way smaller (like max 200mb).
- Dont burn the cue/bin with Nero, because Nero (v5) dosnt burn em right (Alcohol 120% works).
Nah, I launch snes-station off a memory card (It's an elf), and I just burned about 5 roms (about < 1mb each) as a test. The pin goes all the way in, and the tray doesn't push in any further by hand. It's when I eject the CD that the PS2 pushes the drive in further.
I'll keep experimenting and let you know how it goes
You are not pushing the pin all the way back to the right when closing your drive. Just becuase the drive will not go in any further does not mean that it is fully closed. Try using your (flimsy) slide tool to make sure it is 100% closed or it won't work properly. After you swap properly if you press the eject button the tray will open as normal. Practice it a few times if need be to make sure you have it all the way closed.
