Will this exploit setup work on a US system (any exploit users - help!)
Will this exploit setup work on a US system (any exploit users - help!) –
Okay so my bro finally got a PS2. He wants to run HDLoader and I'm totally willing to educate him in the ways of the Light Side... We both have v8 PS-2's but where I have a modchip (a simple one similar to a Magic 3.1) he has none... and I have no experience with the memory card exploit and no PS1 games to test it out on...
I've been trying to find a cheap PS1 game but it seems the cheapest one I can find is $10 and I'll have to wait a few days for it's delivery - and the delivery of the MC from Korea to Canada will take another 1-3 weeks... and I'd love to get him started on playing his GTA:VC from Hard Disk ASAP...
I'd like to send him a memory card with the exploit on it but I would appreciate any help on confirming that the directory structure will work on a US Playstation-2. Mine is a J-model but I believe there is no difference in directory names...
BOOT.ELF is the 121.9 KB copy of LaunchELF 3.4 and HDLOADER.ELF is an uncompressed 2.8 MB patched copy of the program (just in case)... took me awhile to remember LaunchELF doesn't like launching packed copies of HDL. The TITLE.DB I got from the CogSwap loader package and is 72.1 KB... patched up by titleman to include 5 of his PS1 games and 100 others (just in case) - all IDs added in uppercase as so: SCUS_941.63, SLUS_014.85...
Never mind the file names in the SYS-CONF directory... I've been using this folder for a while from my LAUNCHELF.CNF file... I just wanted a cool icon for it.
Anyone using the exploit on a US system will you take a quick look at this and see if I'm okay? I really don't want to spend $5 to send this if it ain't gonna work... I might as well send him some cash for AR Max if it doesn't...

What about the PS1 game? It probably won't work since yours isnt NTSC.
Ummm yeah mine is NTSC-J and I think you misunderstood the question. I don't need either the PS1 game or the exploit to work on my system. I need it to work on my brother's (which is a US system)...
