So i have a quick question.
Is it possible to do the ps1 exploit and have the HDD automatically boot.
So it would boot directly to the hdd without having the disk in and the memory card.
Thanks for any help,

your best bet would be to look into fmcb wich can be found on these very forums ^_^
Okay, thanks for the reply! i'll look into it!
This is just to fill in some details dangwoot left out.
FMCB will let you boot without using any 'trigger' disc, but you still have to use a memory card with FMCB installed on it. Otherwise there would be no way to take over the console boot procedure. Using only the HDD for that purpose is not possible as far as I know.
But having to use an MC for the purpose of booting is no real chore, since you normally need to use one anyway, in order to use most PS2 software. All games that save results will need an MC to do it, and the same goes for settings of most homebrew applications. I have 5 MCs myself (2x 8MB and 3x 32MB), with FMCB installed on every one of them.

Thank you too,
Do you think either of you could point me into the direction of a good guide for this?
Thanks again!

Okay, so I've got Action Replay Max Evo, and when i have my jump drive in, it doesnt show the media player.
thanks for any help!
your best bet would be to build a cd using the maxmedia player cd creator and try to get the media player to read the .elf's from the cd instead of the jump drive...that worked for me when armax wouldn't show my files on the pendrive.
Okay thanks for that, i'll try it out, do i put all the elf files or just the FMCB elf?
Thanks again!!
the way i did it the first time was i used the fceultra method using the pendrive to hold the fmcb.elf since it has to be run from usb as thats the way it was designed to work...all i did was boot fceultra.elf and then used the settings to change the elf it exited to be fcmb.elf on the pen drive hope this helps ^_^
