It depends on your PS2-Version and even then it is only possible with the swap-trick.
If you have an SCPH-50k and up, it works with Homebrew.
If you have an older version, you need BreakerPRO or similar.
ok...
I will check the version of my ps2 in a moment, I am installing a game on my hdd right now and I have to remove the network adaptor to see the version, right?
What is breakerpro or similar and where do i get this?
Edit: My serial: FC3834568 and and SCPH 39004...so this means i need the breakerpro thingy?
Breaker PRO v1.1, does that work, so that I can play psx backups on my ps2?
Is there really no other way...?
Nope, you donīt have to.
Start your PS2 and press Triangle on the main-menu-screen.
It is a PS1-Disc/Cheatdevice, which you can use as a swap-disc.What is breakerpro or similar and where do i get this?
Edit: Well,... There is a PSX-Emulator under development
Keep in mind,... The BreakerPRO-Disc doesnīt stop spinning!
ok, the psx emulator is that for the ps2 or for the pc?
But for now, the only way for me to do this, is to bye this breakerPRO thing?
ok, sad...
But okay, do you have any idea on how far the development of the emulator is?
what if I have a backup of a codebreaker disc?
Ok, since you have Swap Magic, I'm assuming you have a slide card as well. Put in any original PSone game and boot up uLaunchElf with disc control set to "ON". Once uLE is loaded and the disc has stopped spinning, use your slide card to remove the original PSone game and insert your backup. Then launch the game via the "PS2Disc" option under the MISC folder. That should start up your game.
