PS2 Slim V12 SCPH-70003 - Laserfix?
PS2 Slim V12 SCPH-70003 - Laserfix? –
01-04-2009,10:07 AM
Hi all,
this is my first post, so just a quick intro. I've been gaming for many years and currently own a PS2 (fat) with a DMS Pro 4 and a 250GB IDE drive connected to the network adapter. This works very well and I'm pleased with it.
I've now obtained a PS2 slim V12 (SCPH-70003) which is unmodified. I also have a brand new DMS 4 Pro which I intend to install. I read many times in the past that the V12 has the nasty issue with laser burn out and needs to be modded. When I mod'd the PS2 Fat, I was supplied with a Neofix XIII which I never used, so I was hoping to use it for modding my V12 slim, but I can't seem to find any diagrams for it.
So far I've found> http://www.modsupplier.com/catalog/i...-diagramme.jpg
(but this isn't identical to my neofix, it claims to be a XIII but its different to mine, it seems to be a clone?)
http://www.neoasic.com/clip-diagram.php
(a picture of my exact neofix is displayed under the text "Neo-Fix Xii/Xiii" but the diagrams are not available to the public, they require a login - trade only)
http://www.mod-chip.com/Portals/0/ma...de_V12-V15.pdf
(this diagram for the DMS4 includes reference to the Neofix XIV which is very similar to my XIII apart from an optional J2 jumper, but the problem is the photos/diagrams are for a V14 PS2, so I can't be sure of the locations to solder the connections to).
So as can be seen I am trying to get to the bottom of this, but don't feel I should proceed without an exact diagram for the XIII to connect to the V12 board. Can anyone help?
thanks
PS sorry guys, this post ended up in the wrong forum, I started to write it in the correct forum, but then it asked me to login again and must have placed this in the wrong area, sorry again, im sure the mods will move it.
