is there a zip file somewhere of all the latest programs and emulators i can dump on the memory card to make one of those fancy exploit memory cards?
i assume one of those ps2 memcard usb devices on ebay can do this?

PS2 Memory Card Adapter For Playstation 3 PS3 Game NEW - eBay (item 110608071366 end time Mar-05-11 18:01:37 PST)

if a ps2 memory card comes up as a removable drive on a pc with that ebay device, is it as easy as unzipping a zip with all the said programs onto the ps2 memory card?

    Thankyou.

Yes, you can download the updated FMCB-Nooby-Installpackage from Free McBoot Home .
You must be able to execute homebrew'n applications, to install FMCB on(to) the MC.

Nope those do not work, because you can't retrieve the MC-Hardware-ID which is used for the KELF-Encryption of those MC-Bounded KELFs.

    1. They (MCs) won't come up as USB-Devices on PC with those things...
    2. No it wouldn't work, even if the MC would came up as USB-Storage-Device, because of the MC-Hardware-ID still missing...

It might be easier to create a PS3-Application, since a driver is already available there...
...or the PS3's driver could be an example to create a PC-Driver...

Is the PS2 OS based on Linux? Would it work on my PC running Ubuntu? It would be so awesome to plug a MC on a PC to put stuff on it!

Even if,... How do you expect to run software on a x86/x64-processor, which is/was compiled for a MIPS-CPU?

Would it work on my PC running Ubuntu?
Maybe in the same way, like every other PS2-Application...
    Through an emulator!

Even if there would be a PC-Driver for MCs,... The only stuff you could put on it would be normal saves, or the PS1-Exploit, but this would still not work for FMCB...
