problem running exploit on debug ps2 –
i'm trying to make a MC exploit so that i can play ps2 games from an HD. i'm trying to make the exploit using a debug ps2 for a normal one (both ps2s are FAT). i've been using various versions of the independence compiler so far that automatically create ISOs and patching them with a discpatcher that turns normal images into master discs that a debug ps2 can read, but nothing has fully worked so far. i can make a CD but it only boots to the "playstation 2" screen that you normally get when loading a game but then the screen goes black and goes back to the ps2 browser screen that shows the MC and CD.
i haven't tried using CDGEN yet because i'm sick of making coasters so my question is - has anyone created master discs for test ps2s that can help? will CDGEN work better than the compiler for my purpose or is there something different that needs to be done?
