    hi there. i have a v4 ps2 no mods. i use swap magic 3.0

i have used this tutorial to make a cd: LINK!

i start up swap magic and swap to the burned cd. the cd starts and i get the installation complete screen.

then when i restart the ps2 with the psx game it gives me this screen: http://www.shantor.com/ps2/19.jpg

but after 30 secs i get a error message, that it could not execute the hdloader application.

when i start up my ps2 with no disc inserted and go to the memorycard browser i se one file who are 3kb big and it is named Corrupted data.

anyone know what i do wrong?

i should also say that when i swap the discs from swap magic to the burned cd i get a red screen for 2 seconds and then i loads.

man bro that sux, you allmost got it to the HDloader screen... Hmmm.. I used the same link as you did to make this program work... And Im sure that you followed the instruction correctlly... Allthou I had the same proublem every now and then... Try this if you havent allready... Take the memorry card out and reinsert it into slot 1.. Then reboot... Should work.. If it still hangs on the screen that you posted.. Just youes your thump and wiggle the memmory card left and right a bit.. Ive done this then HDloader worked for me... (make sure MC is in Slot 1 to boot HDloader thou)
As for the corrupted data on your memorry card. this is normal.. and you can delete this if ya want.. But its just part of the HDloader program... And it will just return after a few repots...
As for the space on the Memorry card... It doesnt matter how much space he hase left sents HDloader is allready on his MC booyea...

    should be mc0:/BaData-System/Hdloaderlite.elf
    and not mc0:/BaData/System/Hdloaderlite.elf

you should also rename your hdloader elf to BOOT.ELF and forget using ps2link or ps2menu-k

I'm not what ya did wrong but i'll tell you what I did to get mine to work....First I make an exploit but instead of HDloaderlite, I use ps2menu(original version).....after the exploit is install, I boot it up with a psx disc and got into the ps2Menu screen....as long as you got this...everything should be fine....after this...use CDGENps2 to create another image file but this time, put all your ELF files in there...like hdloaderlite.elf, or anything....then make an Image in bin/cue format and burn it with nero...I know this is long but it works better....

Ps2Menu have the ability to boot ELF files and it'll also make a little partition in your hardDrive for you to save other things...AFter ps2Menu boot, you can swap in your ELF cd and press Triangle...a little screen pop out with some choice...chose the bottom one, i think to show the files on the CD...there you can just start any of the ELF file you want....or...you can throw them into your hardDrive....

I know this is kinda long and confuse but that's what I did anyway....Now, I don't even anything else...put in psx...ps2Menu boot up...Choose hdloader from the HD and just boot it....

hopefully this make sense to you....

Check my bros site...it's simple but get the message across...IMPORT LOVERS...CAR THAT IS...

Hey agee.. Let me see if Im understandin this right (I havent tryed PS2menu yet, all I have is HDloader on MC)... So all you need to do is put all the ELF files in a folder with PS2menu or just put all the ELF files as stand alone then burn the image or ISO file?... Plus dont I need to have PS2link in order to use PS2menu?..
When it comes to PS2 menu im some what lost.. Im not to smart on all this Dev. stuff..
As for Goberg, you may want to try a diff. PSX disk as your boot disk... If your useing a PSX Demo disk I have heard of some errors comeing up when loading PS2menu and HDloader... If it is a Demo disk try a reguler game disk and see if that works...
By the wasy Goberg.. I have noticed that some times when the controller isnt pluged into the PS2 it hangs also and some times brings up an error..
