Possible to transfer downloaded saves from USB -> MC?

Hi,
Ive downloaded a few saves and I wish to transfer them from USB -> MC.
Ive got a v5 PAL PS2 with a Messiah and no HDD.
I know how do do it by making a boot cd of PS2Menu and putting saves on the CD but this is just making me waste CDs for every new save I want to transfer.
Anyone can help me?? If possible without the use of ARMax or similar products as I really can afford them and only wish to transfer saves.

use launch elf instead... and install it to the MC... you can copy saves in directory form to the MC or HDD (which you don't have) with it... If you install Launch Elf to the MC you can load it anytime with the exploit...

sry for the noob question.. but, using launchelf i only see O select and X back. how do i copy files from usb to mc0 using launchelf

you need to get to the file browser... configure one of the buttons to Misc>File Browser...

on the main screen press Select to open the configuration menu.... then select on of the buttons... say X then press O to choose it... the screen will list locatins for several things.. select Misc then FileBrowser... then the button configuration screen will come back up... go to OK and press O...

now the main screen should appear and the FileBrowser should be there.. just go down to it and Press O or press the button associated with it.

Sorry, but Im completely new to this "exploit" stuff. Is there a thread like the above that tells you exactly how to start?? Ive looked but had no luck.

you got a copy of PS2Menu running... you should make another CD with the exploit files you need...

hell just put EXEcFTP on it and do it all from your PC.... Just make sure that you have the Config File correct...

or you can use the same method that you used to get PS2Menu up and to put Launch Elf and all the files you will need on the MC for the exploit then copy them over to the MC or to the HDD...

These are several options... if you have a USB drive you can just run Launch Elf and then install all the files from it...

What do you have available for use..... USB Drive... GS, CB, AR MAX.... what do you have tht you can use?

We will go from there...

Currently I have a v5 PS2 with Messiah installed. I have AR MAX, GSv3 and CBv4. And a few pendrives lying around. Only thing I want to do is transfer saves back and forth.

i thought you could use the pendrives with AR Max?

yeah you should be able to... you can build an exploit save to put on the MC and use several programs to copy saves...
