I recently purchased a version 4-6 PlayStation 2 fliptop cover for my version 4 PS2 from CustomPS2.com and I'm sure I installed it correctly. However, whenever I try to load the SwapMagic disc, my system makes odd noises, like there's something tapping the disc every few seconds, stopping it from speeding up all the way. It will usually load after 30 seconds or so, but sometimes some of the graphics are garbled, obvious it's having some kind of disc read error. A huge problem though, whenever I try to start up any legitimate US/C-region game, there is what sounds like a rhythmic scraping and it doesn't start up at all. I've heard about fliptops being a little bit tricky and having to get the hang of them, but I don't get what the problem is. Looking inside the system when it is off, I don't see anything that could possibly get in the way, unless the disc is scraping thetop of the fliptop, I assume meaning it's unbalanced and wavering. Yes, the TOC disc that was included with the fliptop is in properly. This is driving me absolutely and I am really frustrated.
Any help whatsoever is greatly appreciated.
