I've been modding Xboxes for a long time now (I have 3 modchipped Xboxes and 1 softmodded Xbox), but just recently got a PS2 for free. I've got an old, fat style PS2 (SCPH-50001), a network adapter, an official PS2 HDD (packaged with FF XI), memory cards, and some PS2 and PSX games. What is the easiest and cheapest way to go about playing backups on my system? I'd love to be able to boot them from my hard drive like I can on my modded Xboxes. Basically, I want to be able to play backups without having to swap discs every time I play and I'd rather not buy a modchip because I've only got 1 PS2 and I'd like to keep the warranty intact if possible.
I've read into HDAvance and other programs, but I just wanted to make sure no "swapping" is involved every time I want to play a game. I really just want it to be a no-fuss turn-on-and-play kind of system. Thanks.
