Newbie, exploit advice with PsTwo

Hi Dude's!

From today I have a Pstwo.
damm that thing is small! , only a little bigger than a dvd box!
I have spent the whole night reading the exploits/mods for the Pstwo.
and i need something to keep my eays open ...

I have decided not to mod it with a modchip becorse of the throubels
with te laser burning , so i wait a litte till those throubles are fixt.
but in the mean time i need something to play backups.

Now first i have lookt at the magic swap cd , but with the pstwo it is verry
dificold , and i need to open the pstwo.?
And i need a orginal magic swap disc.?

2th one is the memory card exploit , this was a fine exploit , but it can only
be just with a harddrive that is connectet to the old ps2 network addon plaece.?
issn't it possible to load a program from the
memory card that supports backup't discs.?
I need a orgional x-ploit disc or a modchipt ps2, to load it to te mem card?

3th one is the modchip , but not a option at this point becorse of the laser burning.

if there are more exploits that are possible with te pstwo i all open...

I don't want to sound like an ass saying "use the search button". But use the Search Button. All of the answers to the questions you asked can be found here.

No the memcard exploit doesn't work. Yes you'll need to open and mod the pstwo with tape (or a toggle switch) if you want to use swap discs.

http://www.swapmagic3.com/ has a tutorial of sorts on how to swap using swap magic 3.3 with the pstwo without opening it up and voiding your warrenty. You might want to check that out if you are really interested in keeping your warrenty.

man, its called the slide card. u can go to console.com and buy the swap magic and slide card set for like $20. all u have to do is take of the tray cover and thats it. no opening the case, no voiding warranty. nadda. just that one lil piece. even if u break that lil cosmetic tray cover, sony will repair ur ps2 if u have any problems, and even replace the cover. i know from experience lol.

yeah you'd be better off returning your PSTwat.. I mean Two... and getting a used one from a pawn shop or killing someone for one... there is no need to waste good money on a crappy product.

whats so bad about the PSTWO v12 or whatever? i could care less about the back up by hdd, i just want to play imports n such... can you give a site with the pros and cons of the v12?

I too now have a PSTwo and not really looking towards a mod chip, however like you I have been reading up on this MC exploit and bought a AR Max and with my own pen drive have had little luck. I'v tried pre built exploits and different versions of mine and the only thing I can get to launch is HDD Loader (usless for me) and MC Loader (don't have a need for it). They only work by starting them off the pen drive in AR Max media player. Anyone have any luck running anything else?

Also I don't think you can run back-ups from a exploit can you? I have been searching around different forums but there hasn't been any luck.

why not just get a flip top, yes i know its got a flip top already but get a new flip top for it so you can use magic swap...should be alot better than those slide cards.
