    hey how everyone doing im new to ps2 modding...im pretty experienced with the xbox....im a terrible solderer so is there a soft mod for the ps2 where i can add a hard drive....my end result i would like the ps2 to play divx and play back ups...i would also like to connect a harddrive to it...can someone please help ...again i would want an exploit rather than a chip instal

    Hey i am in the same boat as you I am a pro at softmodding xbox's and i can say the ps2 is easier to "softmod" then a xbox. All you do is basically transfer some files to your mem card, put in any ps1 game and it will boot the exploit off the me card and be able to run any programs you want. There is a awesum tutorial in this section of the forum on how to make the exploit and transfer it to your mem card using thigns such as a action replay usb stick or swap magic. Just ask if you need any help on what the programs are and such. Also do you have a gat ps2 or slim one? that will make a difference on the exploit too.

    thanks a lot sorry i havent checked this site in a few days due to school....i have an original fat ps2.....i dont have any ps1 games ...they have to be original i bet....now do i need to keep switching the game everytime i put in a back up...............if possible can i get a full set of tutorials lol i know im a newb and should use the search button

    does the exploit work with the slim ps2's? If so what different stuff will i have to do to my slim ps2 so the exploit works?
