Need a dvd version of cogswap please! (My ps doesn't read my SM3.0 cd anymore!)

Does anyone know where I can get one? I used to be able to load cogswap but now whenever I try the disc makes a really loud noise (like it's reading the disc) and gives me the red screen. I think my SM 3.0 cd is going bad. I'm trying to get the HD loader exploit onto my memory card. Same deal happens when I try and run the memory card exploit on my cd-r. I could really use a dvd version of cogswap Thanks.

if you have the cd version and your pc can read it patch it for dvd and burn it

Hmm all I have are the .cue and .bin's of cog swap. When I try and scan them it doesn't say "patched for dvd-r" at the end.

You have to extract the files from the Bin/cue to a folder on your HD, scan with DVDScan Lite & patch for DVD, then rebuild the image file with Sony CDVDGenerator 2.0 in DVD mode. You'll need to manually position the 1st file in the new image at a higher strting TOC as well, otherwise it'll be too small an image to make a DVD.

what you need

scanlite

isobuster
nero

open the bin image with isobuster

drag all the folders listed,one by one into a new folder,taking note of the order

open scanlite,and source the folder you just put the bin image files in

click dvd

scan all the files/folders,etc

open nero burning rom,and select dvd udf/iso option,....click new

open the folder with all the files/folders in,(get both on the same screen,its easier)
drag over the folders etc into nero(column on the left),dont worry about the order that thay appear in nero

as long as you drag them over in the exact same order as they appeared in isobuster you will be ok

burn it onto a dvd
