    Hi broodje,

A Great THANK YOU for your answer.

In fact my problem is this: i put the FMBC in PS2, and the backup disc from that guy (one of the ones he sold to me), turn on the PS2 and then appears the FMBC logo and then the ERS Logo and then the the game starts. IT“S ALL AUTOMATIC!

With me...The process is the same and appears all the things and the logos too but after the ERS Logo appears, i hear my disc running inside PS2 but the TV Screen is black and nothing happens then.

Conclusion: After the ERS Logo, his game started and mine started too but the TV Screen is black and no game seen!

Understand it? Can you help me?

    Aha, i understand perfectly now.

This means your 'FMBC' and 'ESR' settings seem ok and working.

the problem is obviously the backup disc itself.

the way u have done it should work perfectly.

make iso from game with dvd decrypter.
patch the iso with esr disc patcher.
    burn iso with dvd decrypter.

the only thing i can say is, use another rip/burn program (like IMGburn, its free)
use other media (like verbatim, TDK, there prettty good)

burn speed 8x should be ok. maybe just 4x.

I do want to say that the steps u have taken are indeed correct.
am not sure why his discs are working and yours not.

perhaps u can tell us what game(s) u are trying to play?

My son are trying to play Sonic Unleashed.

As i have a Slim 770004 don“t know which better dvd i should use? Another strange thing is that a friend of my son loan him a mitsai dvd-r with kungfu panda and is working (it was the same guy sold to his mom too) and my mitsai appears the famous black screen! Same model and the other works and mine black screen!

    Hi Mandy,
Have you tried burning your DVD“s at a lower speed?
Your using DVD decryptor to make the ISO image right? That program makes 2 files. one called ISO and another one. I think MD5 or something. delete that file. patch your ISO and then select the ISO file to burn. Usually dvd decryptor uses the other file to start to burn the ISO. Since your patching the iso amd not that file, that file might be causing the problem

I also use DVD decryptor to burn my images and I havent had any problems.

u can launch ESR from the FMBC menu (if FMBC is configurated like that)
FMCB supports auto-loading of ESR-patched backups, since FMCB 1.7.

@mandy: Your ISO is properly patched, because the ESR-Logo shows up (that means, it find the patched disc and also validates it as ESR-Disc and then launch the ESR.ELF, but ESR is unable to do more.).
Try, what "broodje"&"amp2006" told ya and burn your backups to high-quality-media (e.g. Verbatim DVD-R) at mid-speed.

Edit: I just saw, you try to play Sonic Unleashed, which is INCOMPATIBLE with the current ESR-Versions.
Try an older Version of ESR.

Btw.: I hope you didn“t paid to much (and got all in once for a decent price).
Else, you have been ripped off.
Like the name FMCB, a.k.a. "Free McBoot" implies,... It is FREE.

First off,... Try to use another ESR-Version!
SonicUnleashed is incompatible with newer ESR, but should work with older ones.

Well,... You got the MC with it, don“t ya?
But it is still a bit much + the person you bought it off, sold ya illegal copies!!

Maybe someone should add this game to the ESR Wiki? I don't use ESR, since I have a CrystalChip in my first PS2 and broken laser in second PS2 using FMCB.

not trying to be rude mandy, but it sounds like you have downloaded sonic unleashed online. why dont you just play the original sonic unleashed DVD? or did you download it so that cant happen?

but anyways, yeah, go to the esr thread, download an earlier version, put the ESR.ELF file on a usb flash drive, plug flash drive into ps2, run uLaunchElf, then go to mass:\ then locate the .ELF file, run it and then insert your 'backup'. it should work.
