McBoot query –
I've just broken my mcboot 1.8 virginity on my old ps2 slim with the swap magic method.
My question is this: Are all the files needed to run the exploit all on just the memory card? And if so can the memory card be used on all exploitable consoles not just the one I done the original mod on?
Sorry for being a dumbarse in advance
Yes, that is how it is normally done.

If you used the 'Multi-Install' command in the FMCB installer then that MC should boot on most consoles of your region, except for the very oldest v1/v2 consoles, and those of the latest models that have bios v2.30 (all made after third quarter of 2008).

If you did not use 'Multi-Install', then it might boot on a few other models of your region, but you can't bet on it for any other than those that have exactly the same SCPH-xxxyy code (and again excepting any with bios v2.30).
