I have tried and tried and can't get this thing to work by doing it myself, so, while admitting my ultimate noobness, who's the nearest available installer that can help me out. I have a ps2 slim model #79001 7c with less than 10 hrs of use so it's not a lazer or compatability issue. My backups work on my old mod chipped model #SCPH 39001 so it's not the backups. The lazer is dying in the old fatbox so it's time to break out the slim. I give up, I'm a noob, please help. Thanks, Frank

Look at the Free McBoot-Subforum in 'Homebrew-/Dev-&Emu-Scene and look at the first post of the stickied thread dedicated for the free install-service...

Sorry for my impatience, I appologize for being an arse. I'm about a week and 20+ frustrating attempts at getting a burned disc to properly load the programs. I've finally got the noob package installed and running? but all I'm getting is an invalid media in drive or an unknown media in drive message using the esrgui app. My searches tell me the lazer in my 70000 series slim ps2 is somewhat of a POS compared to others. Could that be out of adjustment or already dirty enough to cause my problems? Any other suggestions would be gladly accepted at this point. Again I appologize for my impatience, and thanks in advance to any help anyone can offer me. Frank
