Hello, I'm Corean and I use #50005 Console. (NO MOD)
And simply in Corea, many people could not possible to exploit in elf files in MC and boot it.
But I found it to possible and it also apply to other localized console. ( I believe)
In Corean #50005 console use NTSC-J code and system folder name is "BADATA-SYSTEM".
So many people using exploit boot.elf file and TITLE.DB exploit in that directory. But If you exploit files in that directory, you can't booting using PSX trigger disc.
I start to compare NTSC console (USA Ver.) and NTSC-J console (Japanese Ver.). Finally I found some special point in my Corean localized console.
Corean console using dash board as USA Ver. and system setting is same to USA Ver. But In MC is different. In Corean Console's mc makes system directory as "BADATA-SYSTEM", but console read it to Jap console likes "BIDATA-SYSTEM".
So I use HDA and I make cd-image include execftps 0.68 using CDGENPS2.
(It can possible to boot execftps using HDA or HDL). I execute its image using HDL. and I connected my console using FTP program. And found mc setting and I changed it.
Using FTP, it is very simple.
First, you can upload key launcher or launchELF as BOOT.ELF.(If you want to boot Key launcher you must upload already setted KL.DAT,It is not necessary to change name.) and upload TITLE.DB include Trigger disc's data ( SLUS, blahblah) in "BADATA-SYSTEM"
And you must make directory "BIDATA-SYSTEM".
If you want upload other elf files in BIDATA-SYSTEM, you just upload it.
Finally, your PSX trigger disc in tray just power ON!
You can see white splash screen after Sony logo, and screen changed to Key Launcher or LaunchELF screen.
I think it is also possible to other localized console.
For example, your console using default system directroy as "BEDATA-SYSTEM" but You make "BADATA-SYSTEM" or "BIDATA-SYSTEM" directory, it can booting using exploit files.
If you don't have retail HDA or HDL. Then you can use AR MAX or X-Link(Shark port? , In Corea its name is X-Link). Simply copy to its MAX, XPS, SPS files to MC it can be operate(Using PS2SaveBuilder; simple to use.)
rename your hdloader/hdadvance elf HDA.ELF, put the BOOT.ELF (rar file attached) in your BxDATA-SYSTEM folder, along with the title.db (w/ psx id set) file. and it should boot fine.
you should be able to install it just fine with the independance exploit installer.
just incase you didnt know, you cant boot the hdadvance/hdloader elf directly.

i have a jap scph-10000. i made both BADATA-SYSTEM and BIDATA-SYSTEM and put boot.elfs in both and when i boot it, it freezes at the white screen :/
has anyone gotten the exploit to work with scph-10000?
I have a NTSC/J scph-50000 and i made both directories and it just boots the game! i've tried everything i can think of but it just won't run the exploit...
I tried it with 3 diff games, Bust a move, tekken 2 and aisu-alice in cyberland... what game works for japanese consoles for sure?
i thought it was my game too...i was using brave fenser musashi, but i know that its somewhat working because it hit the white screen (so title.db must have triggered it).
