Load Games from Network
Load Games from Network –

Hi,
I hope someone can help me here, I am trying to load games from my PC on my PS2 via SMB method. I have followed the tutorials TO THE LETTER at least 50 times (seriously that many times, I've been trying this off and on for almost a year). I've tried watching video tutorials and pausing after each step. I've tried it on both Windows 7 and XP and on XP I've tried both router and crossover method. Both my PC and Router show the PS2 as being connected to the network and I receive no error messages but when I select network games the load icon spins for about 2 minutes and then stops and I am stuck with empty list.
I am able to FTP files to PS3 and Xbox 360 as well as Link two JTAGed Xbox systems via home network, which entails much more complicated tweaking of network and router settings. The PS2 setup is as straight forward as it gets, SO WHY CAN'T I DO IT!!!! Please any suggestions would be appreciated. Feel free to ask about any step of the process to make sure I didn't miss one...but if it is part of what seems to be the same tutorial at every site then I'm almost positive I didn't.

This is the guide that i used Official OPLv0.8 User Guides
I think the only thing it didn't cover was setting a static ip in windows.
