OK I have been at it all day. Firstly I found out my used ps2 had had its front superglued back on so that wasn't a good start. Now I am trying to install exploit using hdadvance 2.1 and slidetool. If I burn the keylauncher package from http://www.siirlabs.com/ps2dev/kl/index_en.html it will backup just fine but my prob being I have to add my ps2 game (bass fishing) to the title DB. I use magic iso to do this. Now I have 4 new coasters all of which give the " Not a valid Ps2 disc" error. UNtouched rips fine but cannot exploit, editing title.db seems to break iso and it isnt recognised.
PLease help me I am at wits end
Firstly, you need a PSONE disc. You get the SLUS/SCUS/SCEU/whatever it is code from that PS1 disc and put that in the title.db file which will be copied to the memory card.
When the ps1 disc is inserted the exploit boots. You need a ps1disc!!!
Hey mate cheers for the reply. I have a psone disc retail, my problem is I cannot burn a correct format ISO it would seem. Everytime I add the SCEU number in titleman for my game (big Bass Fishing) to the .db file within keylauncher package it seems to break the iso and it goes from being an accepted Ps2 disc (when ripped within Hdadvance using slidetool) to not being a ps2 disc.
CHeers for the link mate, looked like the go but still no luck. Could it be the game I amusing for the exploit. It will not rip the installer to the hdd within hdadvance, it still says non-ps2 disk inserted or whatever
PLus I should also mention that I do not have a modchip if this means any other settings are required
OK got the Independence proggie to work (increased dummy file size and made relevant changes within Nero) but now my issue is when loading from psone boot CD I get a white screen flicker up, then a blue one and it gets stuck at the blue screen.
