Install free mcboot with Swap Magic Tutorial

im making this tutorial because swap magic did not detect my flashdrive and this is an alternative to installing FMCB without using action replay's media player

What you will need
1: Swap Magic retail DVD disc (i used 3.6)
2: uLaunchElf 4.28 DVD (link below - burn at 4X)
3: USB flash drive/PSP or whatever you call it that can hold files that will be used later to launched thru USB. 8GB flash drives are do not work. (i used 4GB Kingston)
4: memory card
5. PlayStation 2 (i used slim 79001)

this guide is very simple.

1. load Swap Magic 3.6 DVD
2. Set video mode to NTSC. *NOTE*using normal video mode might get you a black and white picture
3. swap disc with uLaunchElf 4.28
4. once uLaunch loads press on file browser
5. go to to Mass and press
6. go to FREE_MCBOOT.ELF and press
7. once free mcboot loads press Normal Install
8. let the install do its thing.
9. enjoy free mcboot!

i just got swap magic the other day so for more help with this u gotta ask who knows what theyre doing (not me)

I guess this doesn't count even though it's entirely booted by a retail disc of swapmagic versions 3.6 or 3.8. No ARMAX needed.

i wasted a good 10 hours screwing around with those tuts, tried everything fmcb 1.6-1.8, tried with ar max evo, did the whole swapmagic folder+boot from ulaunch nothin worked, fmcb didnt launch and i figured someone might have a problem similar to mine so i made this guide.
