This is even bette than ESR beta r9b mcard.
I think you must have misunderstood something here.
The 'mcard' elf variant is only intended for cases where a homebrew needs to access an ESR disc.
It is NEVER intended for use in launching any game backups, though it is possible to do it through uLE, like you described earlier. But that method is really incorrect.

The originally intended method, which I and many others here use, is to use the 'dvdv direct' variant from the r9b package as "mc0:/BOOT/ESR.ELF", so as to boot ESR backup discs with a minimum of fuzz either directly through FMCB or via uLE PS2Disc command.

Using the 'mcard' elf as "mc0:/BOOT/ESR.ELF" is simply wrong.
The 'mcard' elf should only be used for pure homebrew use of pure homebrew ESR discs.

Maybe its some older version? Is there an r9b version, and to be made like that screen, like a program?
That ESR elf you found now is also known as the GUI version of ESR. Its drivers are comparable to the r9b versions, but the disadvantage is that you always have to pass through this GUI and make your selection of launch method manually.

Personally I prefer to use the r9b 'dvdv direct' variant, launching it from uLE via PS2Disc command.

Btw: Did you try using the PS2Disc shortcut in uLE at all ?

No. Sorry. I will experiment more tonight.

    Im on work rightnow.

Thanks for your patience. Nevertheless, if i dont sucess like that, and this way works fine with all patched ISO files, i will not complain.

My children have chipmod, (older is 7 years old, younger is 4 years old, what do you think, what they do to discs? This way, ill make backup whenever is needet, once a month at least ) i will use softmod, when i need, and thats it.

Will all patched and burned ISOs work on chipmodded with no problem?

The GUI version of ESR exists for two different reasons:

1: Some people simply prefer to launch discs this way. (I don't, so don't ask me why.)
2: For some games with special problems, the GUI options can help them work well.

I'm not 100% sure. A chipmodded console is of course intended to run burned discs without any ESR patch, but many will just ignore the ESR patching and run such discs just as well as normal unpatched backups. The DMS4pro I have in my v7 SCPH-39004 PS2 is one such chip, and I assume it works this way with most chips. But there is no guarantee of it...

Nice-looking kids there. I hope they get lots of fun out of all the PS2 stuff...

I have a question about Swap Magic:

Which SM's version I have to use on China/Taiwan's consoles (SCPH-xxx06/07)? I think that must to be NTSC/US version, but I'm not sure.

    Thanks in advance.

    I have a SCPH-77006, and I use the NTSC-J version.

If you're unsure, just look at the region code label that's under/at the rear of your console.
    Unmodified SCPH-77006 with SM 3.6
SCPH-39006 with M-chip modchip, SCPH-10281 NA and refurb Seagate 80GB HDD
SCPH-10000 v1.00 with SCPH-10190 PCMCIA NA and SCPH-20400 HDD unit
    PS2ESDL v0.823B
