How to softmod a ps2?

How do you softmod a ps2? Can someone put a good tutorial on it and the links like softmod.tk and other dont work so plz if you know how to do it and then do a good tutorial of it... plz And plz with swap magic plz or some expensive stuff?

The best way to soft mod your PS2 is by installing Free MC Boot (FMCB) on your Memory Card. Check the threads here. If you have Swap Magic it should be fairly simple. Personally, I would just burn a copy of uLaunchELF to a disc, copy the Free MC Boot v0.8b files to your memory card or usb device, with the BOOT.ELF (ex: uLaunchELF) into the FMCB INSTALL folder on your MC or usb device and install FMCB by running FREE_MCBOOT.ELF.

If all that don't work for ya, get someone to make a FMCB memory card for you by mailing them your memory card (with at least 3.5 megs free) and a self addressed prepaid envelope.
