Hi! I know well how to use high toc disc... that's not the problem, I have only a small question! Is Resident Evil Outbreak a good high toc dvd???
try it and see?
The thing is that I want to play Xenosaga 2, and Swap Magic DVD's toc is too small to play it. I was thinking about buying Resident Evil Outbreak, but I don't know if it works well as a high toc disc. I heard somewhere it won't work using DVD Loader and this game.
I'm assuming you've tried using the swap magic dvd to play it already, I just meant try it and see if it works because I use cogswap to swap discs and it seems to work fine, without using a higher toc disc aslong as they're near enough the same size (just had my first problem with high toc games lol trying to load mortal kombat deception 4.35 gig with thps3 2.91 gig), so it might be worth trying your biggest original disc to boot xenosaga then if that doesn't then yea I guess your only option is to buy a bigger game sadly.
Everything work fine using swap magic 2.0 dvd as a high toc disc to boot xenosaga 2, until I reach the point in MOMO's Encephalon, just before the boss battle (Albedo) when the young albedo says "Rubedo's a monster too! It all makes perfect sense" it stop! Nothing work, have to reset the PS2. Can't get past that point
BTW, The problem is not a bad burn. I burnt it 4 times, trying different kind of medias, and using the original disc to recreate an image each time, but it always do the same thing. (I used 2 Sony DVD-R, 1 Maxell DVD-R and 1 Msonic DVD-R, they all work perfectly except for that point.)

well yes then sorry I guess you're going to have to buy a higher toc game, I've never actually got that far in any of my backups fpr them to freeze I guess lol. Try borrowing a high toc game off someone else first though, to make sure it'll be worth it![]()
Heres a list of 4.37GB high toc games:
NBA Street v3
Mortal Kombat - Deception
Samurai Warriors: Extreme Legends
Sonic Mega Collection
FIFA 2005
Def Jam: Fight For NY
Star Wars: Battlefront
Contra - Shattered Soldier
Xenosaga Episode II Disc 1
Xenosaga Episode II Disc 2
Resident Evil: Outbreak
BioHazard Outbreak
Manhunt
Devil May Cry 1 or 2 DISK 1 or 2
Dark Chronicle
CHAOS LEGION
SWAP MAGIC DVD 2.0 (JAP)

So your Resident Evil: Outbreak-disc should in teory work well as a high toc but u never really know untill u test it.
Thx for your help! I'll go buy it soon.. well.. when class will be done!
(We are "learning" how to use Microsoft Word...at college!... in a program where we're supposed to learn doing webpages and all... but our teachers show us old apps that were good 10 years ago... duh =.= ...)
does this mean that unless I have a higher toc disc my games will crash near the end? I really don't want that to happen lol, what's the biggest game out atm?
not near the end. For Xenosaga 2, it crashed near the beginning xD I could go further in the game by using my original disc, but anyway ^^;
After some research, Resident Evil Outbreak seems to be a good one, (I bought it, it works fine with Xenosaga 2) and should be higher in the list of J_A_C_K. His list is not really in order ^^
