Hi guys,
Im new to these forums and everything else these forums incorporate. Im sorry if this question has come up in the past, i did some searching and I cant find a logical solution to my problems. Ok let me get started with what I have and what Ive tried:
Ok I have a Playstation 2 Version 9 I think (Scph-50001)
I ordered a fliptop with two different swap discs:
Swap Magic 3.0 (CD Version 3.2 USA Build)
Swap Magic (DVD Version 2.0 USA Build)
I have various ps1/ps2 games cd and dvd games
I have a copy of an older version of gameshark 2 (one with the mem card dongle)
I have another copy of a newer gameshark 2 version 3 with the guy from splinter cell on the front.
and I have plenty of tdk cd-r's, cd-rw's, and tdk minus dvd-rs.
Ok heres the story:
I can get ps2 backups to work no problem when i just use blindwrite to read and write them. I have even gotten a backup copy of Battle Gear 3 (Jap ps2 CD game) to work when using the Swap Magic 3 Cd boot disc. But thats about it.
Whenever I try to make these cogswaploader discs, cd loaders discs, exploit discs, etc. THEY NEVER WORK (not trying to shout just trying to get the point across
) Ive read a lot of the threads and tried a crapload of tutorials, and in the end, Ive wasted like 30 cd-r's. All I get when i try to a cd with the swap magic 3 cd boot disc are either red-on-red lines moving really quickly on the outside borders or they are blue-on-red lines.
All I really want is to get any of the MC exploits to work. Now I know I typed a lot and most people won't take the time to read all of this, but I beg you. I really need some help with this. Even if its "your a noob, flame, flame, flame, flame, go here for the correct tutorial" I really dont care. Im kinda desperate at the moment and would love any help that can be given. Thanks again and Im happy to be a part of this community!

get dvdloader and all your problems will be solved. all it takes is 1 cheap dvd-r . its cdloader put onto DVD to make booting on v9 ALOT easier. once you boot it up you press eject and switch with a psx or ps2 cd game then you swap with exploit cd. if you get a bit more into it and have network adapter get execftps onto a cd and boot it. then you use flashfxp on your PC to connect directly to PS2 mem card and drag and drop all the exploits you want w/o needing to waste CDs.
