Help on putting exploit on another MC/Game
Help on putting exploit on another MC/Game –
11-23-2004,07:40 PM
I have two PS2 units. I already figured out how to run HDL, the launchers, the Dumps, the FTPs and most of the stuff, thanks to the guides and tutorial sites provided by members here. Now I have another question.
The reason I was able to do the exploit on the PS2A unit, is because my friend opened it and he loaned me his Swap CD. I used the swap method to do the exploit install. With ExecFTPS on there also, I was able to play around with most of the launchers. I now settled with PS2 Keylauncher 0.4.
I now want to put the exploit on another memory card, and use a different trigger disc. I have PS2B, which I do not plan to modify/open, in the car, and I do not want to bring the trigger disc/MC combo that I use on PS2A.
If I put another MC on slot 2 on PS2A and FTP to it, I can browse it. I plan to move Keylauncher 0.4 on the MC (use it as boot.elf) and put 4 different modes of HDL on the MC
All in all here's my approach. I just want others to chime in if my steps are correct, or if I need some modifications:
1) Grab a new trigger game, run the titleman program on it.
2) Install the following on the second MC:
--- KL.ELF (renamed as BOOT.ELF)
--- KL.DAT
--- TITLE.DB that was just created
--- 4 modes of HDL.ELF
Are these all the files that I need? Thanks.

Just copy your System Configuration file on your 1st MC in the normal PS2 Browser over to the new MC. Then upload the new TITLES.DB with the additional entry for your 2nd trigger disc.
Do yourself and save yourself a lot of headache. Find a TITLES.DB that has all 600+ PSX games already in it. It's easier than having to keep adding them.
