Yes as far as I know you can if you have swap magic, that means you can boot homebrew applications from a CD/DVD using the SwapMagic CD/DVD.
Here's a copy of the CD-ROM ISO for uLaunchELF v3.79, which I posted a while back (if you want it). You can always copy the latest version of uLaunchELF to your MC using uLaunchELF once you get it running off the CD.

thanks so can i use that as a MC exploit useing swapmagic?
I guess I should have asked, what version is your PS2? If you don't know, check this site. As far as I know, only the version 9 and before can run the MC exploit. Any of the newer models like the SlimPS2 models can't run the MC exploit. That doesn't mean you still can't still run homebrew applications of course, just you wouldn't be able to boot from the MC, which is what the MC exploit means.
ok mine is version 9 so can you give me the files i need, icenat7@gmail.com.
ALSO, is there a way you can use a jumpdrive/thumbdrive to do this?
Using the booted uLaunchelf CD, you could copy files from the USB thumb to the MC.

What files are you looking for? I've already provided links to all the software I mentioned in my previous replies to you. If your asking if you can use an external usb device (like a jumpdrive/thumbdrive, all the same thing really), to run homebrew applications then yes. If your asking if you can use it to boot homebrew applications on startup, then no it's not possible; even with a mod-chip.
EDIT: Also, you shouldn't post your email address in public forums. This is one way spammers get a hold of people's email addresses. If you need to post your email address to anyone, then use the PM (private message) option by clicking on a person's name and select "Send a private message to". You also have the option of editing your old posts by clicking on the red "EDIT" button below your posts, and then click "Save" to update while editing...
