Help with MC hack using Gameshark V5.5 Brodband Enabled

First I think you have misunderstood some of the tutorials.

The GameShark media player is not AFAIK needed to install the PS1 exploit (almost any USB-capable cheat engine can do that), but is instead used to launch a homebrew elf directly (by some trickery).

Second, I think the version of GameShark you are using is not the one with the media player (not to be confused with a media manager, which is something else entirely).

As for using the PS1 exploit to boot homebrew software, you should be aware that this is only possible on the old fat PS2 models, but never on the new slim PStwo models. I don't know what model you have, but if you do have a slim, that is the reason why a PS1 exploit can't work for you.
