hello all First time user in need of help

Hello all, I was searching around on youtube and someone gave me this forums to join... so I did.

For the last 4 days I have been literally ripping out my hair (whats left) to get my PS2 Thick version to work with my HDD.

This is my first time owning a PS2.. yes yes.. I know why now? lol

Well I have always wanted to play some games that have only come out on this system such as Growlanser, etc...

Currently I used winhiip to get the games ISO's to the Harddrive thats installed in the PS2, I also went ahead and Downloaded almost every app! I can find on the net.. Problem is I have no idea how to make em work!

I have a USB drive with a bunch of who knows what in there. Some elf stuff and all that. I followed a bunch of instrutions I found on the net from sksapps or something of the sort but it all seems to be from the 2004 era.

My PS2 thick is not modded in any way atm, I do plan on buying a Pro action Replay Max because everyone keeps telling me to get it. for a booting purpose.

In order to play games off of your HDD, you need to have Free MC Boot installed. You cannot simply burn a copy of a cheat disc (or any disc that's a game) and put it in your unmodded PS2 and play it. In order to to install FMCB, you'll have to buy a RETAIL Swap Magic 3.6 or 3.8 Coder or Action Replay Max W/ Max Media Player or Codebreaker 8.1 or higher.

Okay, Im going to purchase AR action replay Max now from Ebay,

but before I do, Is there any way I can install FMCB into my memory card without using the AR action replay max?

like a home brew or a DIY on doing it by myself or is there no other way?

I've downloaded and burned countless discs some CD-r and DVD-r with Swap magic, HDloader, and Action replay, but I keep getting the enter PS2 Format crap page on the PS2. Any help on how to play games off my HDD will be much obliged! Thanks.

First off, talking of downloading games is a " NO GO ". If you want the game go buy it. This site as well as SKSApps and others do not consent to Downloading Games from the internet. That's Illegal.
As for wanting to play games from a internal HDD you need to read up on that on your own now. Google it. DJ

Oh yeah, like DJ said, no talk of piracy here. You'll get zero support that way. We use FMCB to load our back-ups from our retail discs we purchased. If you want new games to be released, purchase the game(s) to support game creators.

That isn´t true anymore.
He can also run the installer with an AR 3.60.

Really? I never heard of that AR version before. (I don't really like to cheat in games or use cheat systems. That's probably why I never heard of it.)
