hi thinking of buying hdadvance to do the memory card exploit

is it worth it? what does the exploit allow me to do?

i read a couple of tutorials but it didnt mean much to me, bit of a noob at this

any info would be muchly apriciated

I'd go with Action Replay Max or Codebreaker 8.1 (or newer) with a usb stick before that. and they can be useful afte the exploit install. a retail hdl/hda isn't once it's installed.

ok could you point me in the way of which is easier and where i can buy the codebreaker?

cheat disc method is easier, and try gamestop. if you can't find it there try here.

Thats just silly!! How is he going to be able to 'test' hdloader/hdadvance first?

He needs to install the exploit, then he could test hdloader/hdadvance. But then there is no need to buy it at this point since its no longer marketed on disc with the new compatiblity upgrades. Both hdloader/hdadvance are free. The only reason someone should consider buying it would be for the use of the pressed disc to boot on its own without any exploit or modchip. But this older version wont have the compatibility of the latest patches.

There is a HDLoader 3.8c being sold, but its not a retail pressed disc, its an exploited MC & PSX disc you will get. The boot app is Launchelf 3.14 and thats old/outdated as well. This is selling for $40 plus shipping. Its much cheaper to buy a cheat disc and do it yourself.
