I put the codebreaker elf on my usb stick (I don't have a modded console atm so can't use ulaunch to put it on the memory card)
Also it is not called 'ulaunch'... In fact, there isn't one application on PS2 available, which is called 'ulaunch'.
Dude you have FMCB, which is ALL YOU NEED to start homebrew'n apps...
You could have started uLE the same way, as you do with CodeBreaker now... Regardless of that,... CodeBreaker is a big ELF... (usually around 3MB, if I remember correctly... and an original PS2-MC is only 8MB...)
FMCB isn't 100% bug-free (but atleast there are no critical bugs, thought...), so...
, tell mcboot to make a menu item for codebreaker, pointing it to the ELF - all that happens when I select codebreaker from the menu is mcboot goes back to its menu again. Codebreaker will not launch.
Anyone got any tips?
How is your ELF called (name of the file)?
Please post your FREEMCB.CNF here, so we can see it...
Maybe there is something in it, which is causing the issue(s).
-try another ELF
