a few questions regarding regarding MC exploit –
I have a few questions regarding MC exploit.
- I have successfully installed execftps.elf and hdld_svr.elf on my MC. I use my original HDA disc to boot up. Is this what is termed MC Exploit? I can use HDA disc to boot up my elf's on my MC? Why do some elf's require a ps1 disc and altered title.db files to boot? Am I getting the two confused?
- What does it mean to compress or uncompress elf. I want to put my HDA on my MC. Would the HDA files on my original HDA disc be considered the "uncompressed" version? Is patching required to convert the original hda files to an elf?
- does each elf reside in its own directory on the ps2 hdd? Im guessing it must because each elf has its own system.cnf file.
I have a PS2 V9, no mod chip
What you need to do is make the independence exploit installer CD (Tutorial Here: http://exploitstation.com/getarticle.php?cat=1&id=17 )
And then Copy it to HDLoader which will install it (Tutorial here: http://exploitstation.com/getarticle.php?cat=1&id=16 )
Its a good idea to copy some files like ps2reality media player and things like that (HDA maybe?) onto the FILES directory so they will be copied with the exploit. The Exploit can be booted by putting in a ps1 CD. Each Elf is located on the memory card and only one system.cnf is needed for the exploit installer CD. (I think).
