hmm im having a problem, i got all the files across to my memcard via execftps and changed the paths to BE since its a euro ps2, but everytime i put the trigger cd in, it goes to a black screen, ive tried with a few diff elf's and still the same result :\ any help or ideas?

If you are having trouble making an Independence Exploit Installer CD, or a bootable cd with lots of apps on it (for PsTWO), try Independence Compiler 2.2 from www.ausdigital.net - It'll at least save you the hassel of getting all the configuration files and directory structure right!
I agree, I think the indepence compiler is the easiest way too go. If you check exploitstation.com they also have a video tutorial on how to run the app. I hope its ok for me to post that.

ok im usung the hdloader/advance method. all i got to do was make the ftp iso and now im stuck at trying to get my hdd to work in my pc. what i did was turn off pc, install hdd on slave settings, boot pc. now after i boot it locks before loading windows and says cable damaged. how and when do i install hdd to pc??? im using a maxtor hdd but i also have a sony official hdd, which would be better to use???

Of course it is. By the way, Version 3.0 is coming out shortly with 1 bugfix and 2 new features: Output to XPS, and to .BIN & .CUE - which is what it was originally designed for. Ps2menu will also be updated! (it's not out yet, expect it in a few days time)
