You could also try using uLaunchELF as your BOOT.ELF file, also remember that your BOOT.ELF has to be in UPPERCASE or it will not work.

I have built my own Exploit Installer CD and used a modified machine to boot the CD.

Using the TITLE.DB (with 800+ games) isn't always guaranteed to work, which is why it's recommended that you make your own TITLE.DB file from PS1 games you own. Then you use one of the PS1 games you built the TITLE.DB with as your boot disc.

What application are you using to build your TITLE.DB file with?

Pretty good tutorial, but I would have added one important step.

1. Add SYSTEM.CNF (this file is the first to boot and links to EXPINST.ELF)
1(a). Right Click the SYSTEM.CNF file you just added and select Edit, then check the box labeled Fixlba. Type in 12231 in the text box and click OK.

This fixes problems some PS2's have when reading the disk. I aquired this information from one of the NES Emulator tutorials. Without this none of my CD's work on the PS2.

Hello, i tried to make exploit with hdloader (HDAdvance 3.0) and started ExecFTP
and it says started ftp server on 21, but still can't connect from pc, i have router, should i connect PS2 to router or direct to PC or should i chance my config.dat? My config.dat

Thanks for the Tutorial DV but I have one question. My PS2 stop reading CD's a loooong time ago. Is it possible to use this method and burn the resulting ISO onto a DVD image? Because I have tried and I get nothing but errors since the CD is in MODE2/XA and DVD's are MODE1.

Been so long since I built a TITLE.DB I can't remember which program I used. Can you recommend one? Yeah, when I built my own it would overwrite the previous title I just added. Seams like the program I had would only allow 1 game at any given time.

I really need a way to burn the exploit onto dvd instead of cdr. I have magic swap but my cd version never worked since I got it so I can't load any burned cd r media only dvd. Is there anyway possible to burn the exploit to a dvd instead of a cd? I'd be really gratful, thanks in advance.

I don't think there is. I tried everything to get that on a dvd and nothing. I did eventually get it to run off a CDR. IT was strage, the whone time I thought it was my drive but, it was the brand of CDR. I still cannot read original games 100%. I have to play around with it, but after getting some Sony CDR's, anything that I burn to them work like a charm.
