exploit and scph-10000?

i have a old ps2 model scph-10000 jap. a friend wants to buy it but wants run some homebrew stuff like snestation off cd. i tried to exploit it using ulaunchelf (both compressed or not) as a boot but freezes with a white screen. well, i just change ulaunchelf for cogswaploader.elf renamed as BOOT.ELF and voila. exploit runs!
my question is: why ulaunchelf doesn't boot in scph-10000 and cogswap do?
i haven't tried old launchers like ps2key launcher yet, maybe i try it someday.

10k consoles don't have default driver irx's in their rom0, like lisbd.irx, mcman.irx, padman.irx, and such. they are very different.

You can't, most "unofficial" software, ESPECIALLY the kind intended to live in the memory card, assume that those IRX PS2 device drivers are part of the ps2's bios, since they are, exept in scph-10000's, or "10k's", to save space. Those would have to be included with the program, somewhere, and be written to look for them wherever you include them,too. So your 10000 will never be supported by this kind of software, unless you make your own software, anyway.
Like I said, these are entirely different machines. Have'nt you noticed that, yet? Is'nt that a PCMCIA slot where your expantion bay should be? It is'nt the only thing different....
