ESR randomly loading backups

If you are using fcmb:

Goto fcmb configurator and turn on fastboot, setup your esr path (should be mc?://APPS/ESR.ELF for both the ESR path thingy and the menu item one then goto "Save CNF to MC*" * = 0 or 1 depending on which slot your fcmb memory card is in. Then goto FCMB Restart at the bottom and it should automagically load up any esr disc.

*IF* You manually launch ESR through either FCMB menu or ULaunchElf and you see the ESR logo and then it goes to black screen (and stays there for more than like a minute with no colors) then there is something wrong with your disc you burned. This means either A, the disc image was not made/patched correctly, or b, bad media.

I did the Multi Installer, from my friends Ps2. I left the CD behind at his house, is it alright if i burn the my FreeMcboot ISo onto a dvd, im out of CD's?

umm, I thought you had FMCB on there already? You don't need to reinstall to do what I said in that last post, just run the configurator, it should be in your menu when you start the ps2 with no dvd in it. And if you do have fmcb installed you don't need to burn things to cd, you can use a usb mass storage device to get things on your memory card/install fmcb to memory cards.

If i start my Ps2 without a cd/dvd in the drive, I have the following options:
*Browser
*Launch Disc
*System Configuration
*Reload Configuration

Woah, that is weird. Using FMCB 1.8 I have entries for UlaunchElf, ESR, FMCB Configurator... Launch Disc? What version of FMCB is that? If I were you I would reinstall FMCB with 1.8 noobie package.

Wtf, i used the Noobie Package, and followed the tutorial given by Skapps. Could u please Upload your contents, because some reason i keep failing.

And also can i boot a FreeMcboot CD using feemcboot?

name_OSDSYS_ITEM_x = Launch CD/DVD Disc
path1_OSDSYS_ITEM_x = FASTBOOT

"x" is numer of item position in menu, i.e name_OSDSYS_ITEM_99

CD is doesn't support and probably will never be (or am I wrong?). DVD yes, but only if You patch UDF Table (i.e patch by ESR Disc Patcher).

You could also replace old mc0:/SYS-CONF/FREEMCB.CNF with this one (or throw into root of mass:/) - if version of FMCB is 1.8/1.8b, older are incompatible and it could freezed FMCB. I reccomended the second option.

One more thing: Until You do not want change version of FMCB, You musn't install whole "exploit" for each time when You want change some cfg file or program. ;] Just delete old file and replace with a new one.

the reason why i wanna install it again is because of this problem,

*Reload Configuration
those are the only options i have, And i cant patch the Freemcboot iso, it has no UDF-Descriptor
