that site gives the same information about HD PRO, its indonesian and it got some pictures too
On this website, it states for models of 9000x made by Sony before Sept. 2009 (not sure what that means).

Also in the list of contents it includes a "modbo 4.0" modchip which I means you need to do alot of soldering to install it, it does not use any "FMCB"-type exploit, that is for sure.

looks like a rip off of HD Combo. and those don't work on anything newer than SCPH-700xx.

If they have re-done the whole IDE-Interface, it might work with all newer versions.
Still, I think it is worth a look at it.

From what has been said about that product so far, both here and in some other threads, it does appear to be a genuine add-on HDD interface, not requiring that a console has the old network/hdd chip that was removed from the PSTwo design for models v14 (SCPH-750xx) and later.

I would not be surprised if the product turns out to be based on a clone of that network/hdd chip of the older PSTwo models and PS2 network adaptors, made from specs leaked from a company previously involved in making such chips for Sony.

If that is the case, then there is every reason to believe that it will work on every PSTwo model in existence at present, though it will probably require the same driver patches as for the older v12/v13 HDD kits. (the v12 patch of the hdl_patch program)

As for the reference to September 2009 on that homepage, that was the date for which they promised to have a version of the kit ready for the SCPH-900xx model. And since we now have October that kit should already be available. In Indonesia that is. Only time can tell if/when it will arrive in USA or Europe.

    Best regards: dlanor

I just looked over the install daigram. if this is true, it's just as easy as installing a mod chip. Actualy much easier than installing any of the current hdd additions for the SCPH-70k models. If I had a slim, I would definately love to test this.

Indonesia? Somehow it feels like it's from my neighbouring country, Malaysia.
I don't understand Malay, but somehow I think that it's a Modbo 4.0 modchip, but comes bundled with a flash update. I can't access some parts of their site(As they need a membership, which I am not willing to sign up for yet)though. This would be a "technological marvel" for my 77006 PS2... but I'm reluctant to modify it (Let alone make it thicker!)...

from what ive read in this thread, there are some scph 9xxxxx models with bios 2.20, making it possible to install fmcb. Is that correct? I have installed FMCB on a few frind's ps2's but i always ask em what model they have first, since i knew fmcb couldn be installed on the SCPH90k ones, but i didnt exactly knew why.

you can use the SCPH-90k models with BIOS revision 230 to install FMCB. but you can't run FMCB on them. BIOS revision 220 models and older can install and run it.
