Titale really says it all, I've been looking into getting a pnp key for my v7 now, but all the places I read either say it needs swap magic or gameshark. Is this matter of fact would any cheat CD like code breaker or action replay also work?

duno about coad braker but action replay dusnt work
Okay theres two types of modchips entitled "PnP Keys"
Type A (Works trough the USB Port)
Action replay and game shark is the same thing, one is just american the other is British, for the PNP key to work properly youll need a older version of AR or GS ,V2.00 works like a charm,I never tryd newer versions, but it will only play CD based backups, witch has the toc medefyd also it doesnt support V7's so its pretty useless, compaired to todays modchip standards.
Type B (Drive tray assembly)
Older versions of AR or GS will allow you to play CD backups on older version Ps2's(Version 4-6),for newer mechines and to play DVD based backups use Swap Magic 2 or higher.
