    Hello guys!

Long time lurker I finally decided to join.

Anyway I have an odd problem. I have a slim PS2 model SCPH 70012 I have successfully installed FMCB 1.8 and everything with smoothly as expected.

I'm using Cogswap to boot my retail copy of Biohazard Outbreak File 2 (NTSC-J) it boots perfectly but yet upon doing just about anything ie starting the game, setting up network the PS2 will reboot.

I also have a fat PS2 which this does not happen on using the same method. Any ideas?

P.S My slim doesn't like backups for some reason. Everything else works perfectly ie US games.

Guess nobody has a clue? I've even tried reinstalling FMCB and running Cogswap off both the memory card and USB drive same thing. It's really puzzling me since this is a retail import not a backup

its not that people dont want to help. its just that most of the viewers(like myself) dont know the answer to your problem
V7 ps2, flip top, 2x 8MB sony memcards, FMCB 1.8b, ESR r9b, Cogswap, Hdloader0.8c, 250 gig Western Digital, poorly modded(but functional) network adapter

Have you tried ESR? Your console may not like backups because you're probably not patching them right. I have the same model console and I have used ESR when HDL doesn't work for my games. Main one, Dead Red Revolver.

I can't guarantee it will work, but at least you will have tried something else than "my PS2 doesn't like backups" because you're not specifying what you have tried.

Oh yeah, I've tried ESR it doesn't seem to like DVD-Rs no matter which brand I use. Though good new sI tried the Swapmagic.elf and it seems to be working like it should. Oh btw this is a retail copy not a backup I appreciate your help!

what in the hell is wrong with you? do you not realize that no one is on here 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year to answer your every beck and call? Do you realize that the best thing to have is patience and not bump a thread for 24 hours or more?
