Can you close a slim with magic switch?

I am looking to use SM and a Magic Switch on my V14 because I don't want to void my warranty. Do any of the fixes available for the lid sensors on the slim models allow you to close the lid while playing? I have seen demos of the Magic Switches but they all showed leaving the door open. :(

I think I once heard about this problem on the afterdawn forum. Blocking one of the lid sensors makes it difficult to close the lid. I believe that it is possible to close the door in some models by cutting a bit off the case somewhere. I think it is either that or voiding your warranty by buying a flip top case.

I don't have any experience with this myself but I have heard people talking about soft-modding slims before on the afterdawn forum. (can't post link because not enough posts)

Mine wont close. Instead, the dumb clip broke. So in the process of opening up my slim, I broke the surface mount button that powers on the ps2.
