can you or can you not play games online with swapmagic

i once read that one of the benefits to swapmagic is that it's simple playing online games since there is no mod chip sony can detect. but when i've tried playing socom3 online at the login screen it just hangs until i get a 'network timeout' message or i just get a 'network disconnect' message.

a google pulled up a thread at afterdawn forum how even with swapmagic you can't game socom3 online. what's the deal? is it like this with all games?

If you wanna play online with Socom2 and/or Socom3 you have to buy the original game, bcus they use a new version of DNAS...and even if you patch the burned disc with a disc game id ...the new DNAS version will detect it...an NO its not with all games...its just this two games that are very popular.

Some people using Swap Magic have managed to get online with Socom 3 though. Just lucky I guess.
