The FMCB installation made for the PAL PStwo can not work on a PS2 of any other region, including the japanese. Each region needs a separate install.

or I should create a japanese freemcboot before ?
You must install FMCB on the japanese console independently of the install made for the other console.

But you should be able to install both to the same memory card, since the main FMCB boot files will use different folders for the two regions. European PAL consoles use "/BEEXEC-SYSTEM/" folder, while japanese NTSC/J consoles use "/BIEXEC-SYSTEM/" folder.

Both installations can and will use the same "/BOOT/" and "/SYS-CONF/" folders, but that is not a problem since the files inside those folders are not region dependent. The configuration of FMCB made on such a memory card will then apply to both regions, so no matter which of the consoles you use in changing the FMCB menu, such changes will apply when booting on the other console too.

I don't understand why you say that this would be the same way that you did it for the PAL PS2, since such a method does not work for any console regardless of region.

or what is the method to create a fmcb jap ?
It is exactly the same as for any other region.

You must run the FMCB installer program on a console of that same region so as to let that program generate the files you need for that particular combination of memory card ID and region code. For you this means that you must run the installer on your japanese console in the same way that you presumably did for your European console.

The one difference is if you used a DVDPLE file in the subfolder INJECT of the installation package, since you now need to use the japanese variant, though Im not sure if that is DVDPLJ or DVDPLA (probably DVDPLJ). But if you have a slim console you can just empty the INJECT subfolder, as the program will then automagically use the correct file from within the bios rom.

Copying files from another region is just as useless as copying files from another memory card. Such copied files will not work, since both the region code and the memory card ID are included in the 'signing' key used to validate the files. (The MC ID is unique for each memory card in existence, except Memor32 cards which all have the same fake ID.) The PS2 bios will only boot FMCB if the files are correctly 'signed', like a proper Sony upgrade.

This 'no-copying' rule applies only to the main boot files inside the BxEXEC-SYSTEM folders. The other MC folders used (BOOT and SYS-CONF) hold normal files which are not 'signed' that way.
