Booting PSX backups through the exploit.

Is there any good way to do this? Cogswaploader obviously doesn't work. I've read that a certain version of KeyLauncher is able to do this, but I have no idea how, or which version. I have an unmodded V3 PS2 and installed the exploit using a homemade slidecard and demo disc swap trick.

nope no possible way to boot psx backups using cogswaploader or any ps2 apps at the moment. the ONLY way is through gameshark. go to a game shop they should have at least 1 for you to buy. make sure its gameshark1 as the new ones are more expensive and have a LONG intro. insert the gameshark cd with the gameshark mem card in 2nd slot and load it up. then swap with psx game and choose start with no codes or with codes if you put any codes in.

ps2 os will work for ps1 back ups make a searsh and you will find a tutorial

keylauncher will do it just as well as PS2OS but it will only work on v9 consoles....

put this entry in KL.DAT.....
rom0:OSDSYS;Program Description

run keylauncher, swap in backup, press key you assigned command to, watch it soft reboot and wait for game to boot (may take a min)

I have a v7...doesn't work for me....only on v9 consoles

Just wondering though, why does it only work on V9 consoles? Something to do with the laser?

hmm wow new info thanks guys. btw ps2os does NOT boot it very well. i dont know about you guys but ive had nothing but problems with that thing. im gonna try that keylauncher method though...save myself some time.

lol digital ive got no clue... maybe something to do with architecture. are you sure it ONLY works for v9 or it only DOESNT work for v9?

i have a v9 it works great on, i use the boot browsr thats on launchelf, it takes me back to the browser, i click on the picture of the black cd and it starts like normal,

just mod ur ps2 and it will boot all ur psx and ps2 back ups...
