ARMax Mod w/tape- can it work with cheats

I have been having a problem. I have been using ARMax and my pendrive to play backups of my games on a ps2 v12 that is tape w/ tissue modded. I was wondering if there was anyway to play the games with the ARMAX cheats on. Should I just get another cheat device and try to load that to ARMax and hope the cheats carry over to the backup? Any advice would be very helpful.

You swap discs?, if so it should work. when i need to cheat with my games, (i have swap magic though) I just put in my armax, select games, put swap magic in, then put copy in. and viola, it works. atleast for me. Hope this is what you mean. Peace

In order for me to play games I have to go in the media player on ARMAx and boot them from cdloader.elf which is on the pendrive. I tried just selecting the codes and then going to media player etc. but it didn't work. I just want to know if anyone has actually used cheats with ARMax and this mod alone.
