AR MAX Cd or dvd?

i have a v10 ps2 and it will read, cds and ps1 games but not dvd ps2 games or movies. the laser coils measure ok and not sure if the la chip is good or bad. going through the posts, someone mentioned about using hdloader and just loading the games onto a hd and playing games off of it, i was wondering if AR MAx, gameshark or code breaker is a like a ps1 cd or a ps2dvd. hoping it could be read by my broken ps2, and if it is able to read it. and is there really a difference between the 3 cheat devices, i mean i only really hear ar max being mentioned on the fourms and rarely hear the others except on sksapps.

AR MAX is a PS2 CD based cheat disc.
There's quite a bit of difference between the 4 different devices, but most are down to personal choice/preferences, other than a few functional differences. But if you want the one with the better code support for new games, then Codebreaker is usually quickest with new codes & they usually have more as well.

so your saying my ps2 should be able to read it? cause im thinking whats wrong with it is that the laser diode that reads dvds is burnt out, not exactly sure though, cause i want to use the ar max cd to do the MC exploit to load hdloader then to make backup of my games by hooking the ps2 hd to my pc then transfering that way and then reinstalling the hd back into the ps2 to play the games since i wont be able to load ps2 games unless i change the laser out

It should be able to read it, but if you use Swap Magic, then you'll need to make sure you get the Swap Magic fixed version. A normal backup of it won't load unless you have a modchip.

Silver = DVD , well what i have seen that is always true
