I was wondering if all you needed to mod your ps2 is a memory card with the necessary files on it? It seems like it, but I don't see anyone selling memory cards with the data on it for those "800 ps1 games". If you know the answer a reply would be appreciated. And yes, I know it is a n00b question...

Edit: fileson isn't a word, but files on is two.

you need either a way of getting the exploit files(exploitsender?) to the mc then booting with a ps1 game, or a way of booting an installer cd that will get those files on the memory card then booting with the ps1 game

Oh, so if I just bought a mc for ff7 or whatever game I had, I could do it? Well, I'm looking to buy one, why would there not be ones for sale? Seems like the easiest way to boot up your system and therefore should be a profitable venture...

Well there are several places like e-bay that sells premade expoit-mcs....problem is those ones usually has pirated software on em.

And even if anyone set up a shop sellin' mcs with legal stuff on em ull probably get a visit from $onys G-men-kneebusters for using $ony official mcs without permission.

http://www.exploitstation.com will tell u how to make your own exploit and how to get it to your mc

Ohhh, ok, I see. Thanks for the info, I was confused by what seemed to be a marketing mistake. Anyways, I removed the thing that said HDD in the back of my ps2 to see what model I had and noticed a big hole where a hard drive is supposed to go ANYWAYS. Shows how much of a n00b I am.
