the dummy is basically to make the cd bigger so its easier to read since lasers read stuff on the outer edge of a disc easier than stuff at the middle. execftps is compatible with keylauncher yes.
the PS2 uses CAV (Constant Angular Velocity)... disc spins at the same speed at all times... which translates into more data is read from the outer tracks in the same amount of time as the inner tracks....
If you have used HD Loader this is apparent... the disc starts at about 400KB a sec and ends with over 1MB a sec on a 4GB disc.
the dummy files and large fixed LBA's force the needed data to the outer seeections of the disc making the system read the data faster... alowing faster load times....
ok so i can remove any dummy out of anything and the whatever should still work
in most cases yes....
remember to rebuild the disc with ps2 software.....
