im completely new to this ps2 modding scene, but im going to try my hands at eventually using FMCB w/ESR and/or HDLoader to load my personal backups...

i just had a question reguarding ISO patching... i understand that most/all iso's need to be patched to work with ESR. Once patched, will the ISOs work with HDLoader or will i have to back them up again, or is unpatching possible/necessary?

i hope this is the right thread to put this in ¬_¬

Yeah, about the patching. You MUST PATCH every ISO before you burn it, for it to work with ESR. And you MUST UNPATCH them for them to load with HDLoader. Hope that helps out. DJ

Yes. If you copy it directly to HD with "ESR-Enabled" HDLoader (not sure, what happens for WinHIIP and other tools. ...depends on their Filesystem-Handling.).

or will i have to back them up again, or is unpatching possible/necessary?
Nope you don´t have to [re-backup] (at least for the mentioned method), unpatching is possible but not necessary (and if it is, it is possible so...).

i hope this is the right thread to put this in ¬_¬
The "FreeVast"-Subforum, might be a better place. ^.^
